Lookup Sevier County Inmate Records

Sevier County inmate records are split across the sheriff's jail system, Utah court records, state corrections, and federal or immigration tools when a case leaves local custody. A Sevier County jail roster search should start with the sheriff's official inmate-search route, but the current public roster may not show entries. For someone believed to be in the local jail, the best search path pairs the official route with the jail information line, GRAMA requests, UDC offender search, VINELink, and federal locators when needed.

Sevier County Jail Roster Status

The Sevier County Sheriff's Office has an official Inmate Search route in its web app. During inspection on July 1, 2026, the underlying official page JSON said "Check back later for updates." Older official OCV feed endpoints for inmate search and recent arrests also returned empty arrays. That means the public route exists, but no current public roster entries or sample inmate profiles were available to review.

A blank or inactive roster is not the same as a release confirmation. Current Sevier County Jail custody should be checked by phone when timing matters. The jail also houses more than one kind of inmate: Sevier County pretrial detainees, county-sentenced inmates, inmates for three counties, and some Utah Department of Corrections placement inmates. Sentenced or supervised state offenders may appear in the UDC locator even when the county roster does not show a public profile.

Important: The official Sevier County inmate-search page had no public inmate entries available on July 1, 2026, so use the jail phone fallback for current custody.

Search Sevier County Jail Records

The best Sevier County inmate records workflow uses all documented access channels. Start online because the sheriff's route may be restored. Move quickly to the jail phone if the page still has no public results. Use GRAMA for records that are not just a current custody check. Use state and federal locators only when the person's status points outside the local jail system.

  1. Open the sheriff's official inmate-search route and check whether roster entries are available.
  2. If no entry appears, call Sevier County Jail at (435) 896-2660 and ask about current custody.
  3. For booking records, arrest records, or copies, visit the Sheriff's Office during business hours and complete the GRAMA request form.
  4. Search the Utah Department of Corrections if the person has been sentenced, placed with UDC, or is on probation or parole.
  5. Use VINELink for custody notifications and BOP, USMS, or ICE tools only for federal or immigration custody.

The official Sevier County inmate search route is still the first online checkpoint.

The image matches the research finding: the sheriff's web app has an inmate-search path, but phone and records-request channels carry much of the practical lookup work for now.

Sevier County Roster Search Fields

The search-field capture is limited because the public route did not expose a working inmate list during inspection. The older OCV feed manifest showed search and sort controls, but the feed data returned no inmate records. No last-name, first-name, booking-number, or facility field labels were visible in active records.

Field LabelTypeRequiredNotes

SortFeed-list sort UIOptionalManifest says showSort true and date-descending sort
Recent Arrests searchFeed-list search UIUnspecifiedRecent-arrests feed had no public entries during inspection

When public entries are restored, names and booking dates may be enough to narrow a match, but that should be verified against the live sheriff page at that time. For now, the absence of search results is a reason to call the jail, not a reason to assume the person is gone.

Sevier County Inmate Profile Fields

No official Sevier County sample inmate profile was available from the current public route. The fields below are drawn from the research file's record inventory, Utah county jail reporting law, and UDC's public offender field list. They describe what can exist in official systems and what can be confirmed or requested, not what the current public Sevier County roster visibly displays.

FieldWhat It Shows
NameCurrent custody can be confirmed by calling the jail; written booking records can be requested through GRAMA.
Booking date/timeUtah county jail reporting law requires booking and release timing in county reports.
Arresting agencyTracked in jail reporting, but public release depends on record classification and sheriff response.
ChargesBooking charges are not the same as prosecutor-filed court charges. Check Utah Courts Xchange for court filings.
Bond/release statusMay depend on court orders, sheriff release decisions, financial conditions, or holds from other agencies.
Mugshot/booking photoNot shown in the current inspected roster. Utah law can protect some booking photographs.
Housing locationNot visible on the Sevier roster, but UDC lists housing location for UDC-supervised offenders.
UDC placement statusMay require UDC or sheriff confirmation when a state inmate is housed in the county jail.

Find County State Federal Inmates

Sevier County inmate records can point to several systems. A new local arrest usually starts with Sevier County Jail. A sentenced state inmate moves into UDC supervision or a UDC county-jail placement. A federal defendant may be held by the U.S. Marshals Service before BOP designation. Immigration custody follows ICE channels. Mixing those systems is the most common reason a search fails.

VINELink is available for Utah custody notifications through participating sources. Treat it as a notification tool, not as a complete booking archive or a substitute for the sheriff's jail line.

Sevier County Jail Facilities

The adult jail roster does not cover every custody setting in Sevier County. The Sevier County Jail is the adult local jail. The Central Utah Youth Center is a juvenile/youth services facility, not an adult jail roster source. Records for youth custody are more restricted and should not be searched as if they were adult booking records.

Sevier County Booking Process

A Sevier County arrest can come from the Sheriff's Office, Richfield police, Salina, Monroe, Aurora, or another local agency. Adults who are held locally are transported to Sevier County Jail for intake. Booking can include identity recording, property inventory, searches, medical and mental-health screening, classification, and access to phones or tablets after intake rules are met.

The inmate handbook says licensed medical personnel provide routine and emergency services, and inmates can seek care during medication pass or through a tablet request. Property can be released to another person with photo ID and the required release form. Personal property left more than 60 days after release may be disposed of. Court timing is separate from booking timing, and the handbook says Sixth District Court is usually held on Tuesdays.

Classification

Hold
Another case, agency, warrant, UDC status, federal case, or immigration reason that can affect release.

The GRAMA route is the correct path for records copies, but protected, private, sealed, expunged, or safety-sensitive records may be withheld or redacted.

Sevier County Jail Visitation

Sevier County Jail does not offer face-to-face public visits at the facility. The sheriff's video visitation page says onsite visits are video visits, inmates receive two free onsite video visits per week, and a JailATM account is required. The handbook lists broad visiting windows seven days a week, while attorney and clergy visits run daily except during mealtime and head count.

Visitors should confirm custody and visit eligibility before creating accounts, because discipline, lockdown, release, transfer, or holds can change access.

Confirm custody before sending money because release, transfer, discipline, or account holds can affect whether funds or orders are useful.

Sevier County Sheriff App

The Sevier County Sheriff, UT app is part of the official OCV sheriff system. The app store listings and manifest expose Jail Information, Inmate Search, Recent Arrests, Inmate Mail, Commissary Deposit, Courts map, Bail Bonds, GRAMA Request Form, Records Requests, Monthly Stats Reports, Pre-Trial Release, and Inmate Demographics. The app exposed valuable data, but the inmate and recent-arrest feeds were empty during inspection.

The app can still help locate official jail pages, records forms, visitation rules, and demographics. It is not an emergency reporting tool, and the store description says users should call 911 for emergencies. For current custody, the jail phone remains the reliable fallback when the roster route is not publishing entries.
